About SLV Yoga House

Hi, my name is Samantha. I am a qualified, independent yoga instructor based in Gaborone, Botswana.

I do private and group yoga sessions at the SLV Yoga House studio in Phakalane. I am also available for corporates and private yoga sessions on location.

Yoga …translates to “yoke” or “union”. Your entire practice’s purpose is unity of this traid. When you find this connection between breath and movement you automatically invite stillness into the mind. 

Yoga is not about the perfect pose or awesome headless handstand or being able to fold in a pretzel-like pose or balance. Yoga is about an inward connection with your own self. Practicing yoga on a regular basis has incredible effects on your body, mind and soul, benefiting total mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. Yoga is a way of life. Honouring your body through movement, breath and ultimately being present in that moment. Yoga brings stillness to your mind and strengthens your body when you need calm. You have to be ready to transform and grow. Because yoga isn’t just an exercise you do, a real yoga practice challenges us. You might even feel sensations or emotions you were unaware you had, stored deep inside ourselves. The physical asana is only one limb of the 8 limbs of yoga.. we forget to practice compassion, truthfulness and rest.
